A Special request to you, leaders of Malayalee Community
When president Bush travels to any country quite a large number of news media accompany him. The world focus and the media attention will be on the land he visits for a short time. Kerala, such a beautiful place will be on the world map and the tourism to that part of the world will increase. US secretary of commerce and many important CEO’s of major American corporations will travel with the president looking for business opportunities. It is a wonderful opportunity for business leaders and Kerala government to step up to the plate and negotiate great business deals that is good for our state.
US president George W Bush is making preparation to visit India in January 2006. We have a wonderful opportunity to encourage President Bush to visit Kerala on that trip. Galveston-Trivandrum Sister City Society has initiated a project requesting that President Bush visit our sister city during his trip to India and we received support from the Galveston Mayor, City Council members, several US Congressmen, US Senators and many other VIPs. (You can see the letters of support from Senators and Congressmen and response from the White House at our web site. Please go to www.gtscsociety.com and click Current Events and click individual letters) We are also working to get NCLEX-RN exam center in Kerala, that is almost 99% sure, along with Medical University affiliation with sister city universities.
The leaders of Malayalee community like you has an important task to do to increase the support from different congressmen and senators from your state to support this project. We know that you are all leaders of your community, very busy people and have many things to do on your every day life and this request can go to the back burner. Please take 15 minute of your time and write a letter to your House representative and the two senators and ask them to write a letter supporting President Bush to visit Kerala on his trip to India. You can see sample letters from many others from our web site. Also forward this email to all your contacts and ask them to do the same. (If we get support from all 50 state senators and congressmen, we got it made) If you receive reply please forward it to us for our records. Many of you have contributed to these congressmen and senators campaign fund and this is a good time to ask for a favor from them. Almost all the elected representatives will honor your request and will write to the White House if you ask. As a Malayalee community not as different groups like FOKANA, WMC, NORKA etc we can make it happen if everyone think it is a good idea to bring good business opportunity to Kerala through the Presidential visit.
